This project was a remodel and additional to their existing home. A ranch family with horses and barn already established on the property. The remodel of the existing home, and the addition of a guest house created a private patio/yard space with views of the horse stables. Barn wood was collected from their ranch and used on the new guest house. Part of the Billard’s room bar came from came from Whisky Row.
Wickenburg, AZ
The layout of this home allows family and guest to have separate private spaces, along with gathering spaces for all to come together. Desert views from rooms and exterior covered patios capture the surrounding desert views. Finishes of the home include: native stone veneer, reclaimed timbers within the home and covered exterior patios, clay tile roof, and narrow style windows.
North Scottsdale, AZ
The origin of the “S” shaped home is based on the natural wash that runs thru the property. Placing the home on the south side of the wash creates the wash as the foreground for the north mountains in the distance. The core of the home; kitchen, gathering, bedrooms, and garage are in the middle of the home. To the east is the guest house, and to the west is the gym. All significant rooms face north towards the wash and the mountains beyond.
This home is modern in geometry with earthy materials and finishes, for a very comforting home. The materials of the home are; stone, stucco, copper roof, glass railings, cut flagstone flooring, metal window system.

This location of this home is near their family and grandchildren. And this is intentionally a small house. The finishes and products used to build this home are truly Texas vernacular. Products and constructed methods are local; the stone veneer, wood, metal roofing, lime stone pavers, etc. A great amount of care was taken to preserve the existing Oak Trees when developing the floor plan layout of the home.
Fort Worth, TX
The Montgomery Ward warehouse building had been converted to condo’s; this is one of 240 condos within this building.
The owner’s desired to an art studio within the space, the solution was to cut an opening thru the roof that not only allowed the space for the stair well, but also allows natural light to flood down into the rooms below. The rooftop studio became an inspirational space.
